My name is Alexis, and I’m the most ambitious and bubbly 22 year old you’ll ever know.

I am a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native…a die hard Steelers fan and Daddy’s little girl. My childhood consisted of dancing competitively for Roger’s Dance Studio, numerous vocal lessons at the exceptional Carnegie Mellon University, and taking Taekwondo karate classes, where I ultimately received my first degree black belt from Master Mike Caruso.

I was third runner up for National Miss Teen Pennsylvania in 2004, which I won right before graduating from Franklin Regional Senior High School in my hometown of Murrysville.

With the love and support from family and friends back home, I moved to Los Angeles with intentions of pursuing my music career at the very young age of 18. After completing a 5 song pop-country EP last year, which can be heard on my website and myspace (www.alexistunes.com and www.myspace.com/alexispelekanos), I was cast into the hit reality TV show on the CW, “The Pussycat Dolls Presents: Girlicious,” which premiered in February.

I swear I am more than just talent and a pretty face, however.

They call me beauty and brains!

Recently, I graduated in the top 7% of my class at the University of Southern California with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in natural science. I’m a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the Golden Key Honors Society, Alpha Lambda Delta, Sigma Alpha Lamba, Psi Chi (Psychology Honors Society), and was affiliated in the Greek system as an undergrad.

After facing the dilemma of having to choose between the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and the prestigious School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California, it was my passion for music that tipped the decision in favor of USC. I plan to begin dental school in fall 2008, and will receive my Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2012. Thereafter, I’ll continue with my dental education with hopes of becoming an orthodontist or cosmetic dentist. In the meantime, I’m continuing with voice and piano lessons, and beginning to branch out into acting, commercial, and print work. God has blessed me with so many wonderful opportunities, and I am so lucky to be able to pursue my careers in music and medicine. Not to mention, I am thrilled and honored to be USC’s Calendar Girl this year. It’s going to be great to work with girls from all the Big 10 and Pack 10 Schools.

As a former sorority girl at USC, and having lived with 15 girls in a house on a reality television show, I am totally ready to work with a great group of girls again. I will do all my fellow Trojans proud! FIGHT ON!!!
